LEGAL PROCEDURES FOR A WEDDING CERTIFICATION IN THAILAND
Below you will find general guide lines for having a wedding validated by the Authorities in Thailand and recognized abroad:

Step 1
Issue a Letter of Certification for the Bride and Groom from the respective Embassy of your country in Thailand (in English Language).

Step 2
The Letter of Certification of the Bride and Groom issued in English language by the embassy, and has to be translated into Thai language by any Law offices in Bangkok.  

Step 3
The original document from point 1 and 2 must be validated and stamped (on every pages) by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Bangkok. Notes: Valid passports of the Bride and Groom must be shown for steps 1, 2 and 3. To complete the above, you may plan 3 working days in Bangkok (please take into consideration Thailand's Public Holidays). It is strongly recommended to make appointments with the concerned authorities in order to have the documents issued on time.  

Step 4
Once in Phuket, the documents must be given to the District office (approx 30 mins. from the hotel) at the Deputy Sheriff's office for review, he will require 4 copies. The Wedding certificate (in Thai language) will be issued approximately in two days. The Bride and Groom will then have to go to the District office for the signing of the official documents and pay the relevant fee, currently 1,000 Baht (25 USD) (transportation not included). 

The concerned authorities can also come to the hotel to sign the documents after the wedding ceremony at the hotel for an additional fee payable to the District Office.  

Please note that the hotel is not responsible for completing steps from 1 to 4; the Bride and Groom are solely responsible for issuing the correct documents however the hotel will assist in any other way. . Steps 1 to 4 are not required if the bride and groom do not need any legal papers to certify their wedding.  

AMENDMENTS
Amendments on the wedding day are allowed, but are subject to the time of request and confirmation by the hotel.  Once an amendment is made and confirmed in writing, the cancellation & no show policies will be applied based on the new date.
